About me
For as long as I can remember, I have enjoyed the creative things in life. Having gained a degree in art and dance in Brighton some years ago, life has been quite varied since but my passion for both disciplines has never waivered. I now enjoy a combination of creating my own art and teaching art to others. (Dance is still a part of my life too.)
Some time later, after studying for a teaching qualification, I knew that becoming an educator was the right path for me, leading to tutoring both adults and children. During the Covid 19 lockdown period I taught therapeutic drawing and painting classes online to a group with the mental health organization Mind.
This all led to where I am now. I currently run my own courses and workshops for adults in drawing, painting, mixed media, collage and craft. I also continue to enjoy teaching art and craft workshops to children.
Excited and inspired by the natural world all around, I love being immersed in nature, creating art outdoors. I find it magical and therapeutic and sometimes challenging, depending on the changeable weather! I also work from the comfort of my studio which is situated in the heart of Shoreham-by-Sea.
I am a member of the West Sussex Art Society, Shoreham Art Gallery and Brighton Painting Group.
